HEAT WAVE – Chill-Out-Area mit Songs, Books, Drinks

Thema| Die Hitzewelle-Shortlist

»Slow down, stay indoors and avoid strenuous exercise during the hottest part of the day.« Dazu eine HEAT WAVE SHORTLIST von TINA KAROLINA STAUNER

HEAT WAVE.

(1976 / 1963)

HEAT WAVE von Jazzanova bringt sophisticated Club-Sound für Show Ups und Cool Downs beim Tanzen und Chillen. (2018)

HEAT WAVE von Lindsey Jordan der Indie-Rock-Band Snail Mail aus Baltimore wirkt wie ein Highlight dieses Sommers. (2018)

HEAT WAVE von Nominee aus Texas mit rauer Punk-Attitude zu existenzialistischen Reflexionen liefert Energie pur »for anyone who feels like they can’t see a future.« (2018)

Use a ›In glass‹ for Heat Wave drink recipe. Add all ingredients to a parfait glass 1/2 filled with ice cubes. Top with grenadine. Garnish with a fresh slice of peach, and serve. Serve in ›Parfait Glass‹. Garnish: No«

Ein Connaisseur konstatierte: „…the heat wave we’ve been having has put me right off my whisky.«

»Chill out – even red wine needs a break from the heat«, headlined ein Artikel in ›The Telegraph‹ zu Drinks und Hitzewelle.

Music | Bittles’ Magazine: The music column from the end of the world Usually when I am sitting on the street with my placard reading ‘I write about music for a living, please give generously’ people will take pity and throw a few coins in my lap. The other day though, someone took umbrage at my sign, demanding that I follow them home. After a hearty meal of pot noodle and chips he insisted that I watch coverage of the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend Festival. 20 minutes of charmless pop later he switched the TV off, turned towards me

A Time For Rebirth: An Interview With Jazzuelle

Music | Bittles’ Magazine: The music column from the end of the world Sometimes it feels like I am alone in thinking that house music should be sexy, sultry, and appeal to the heart and head as much as the feet. Recently I have become bored of clubs where you get accosted by drunken assholes, the dance floor is too jammed to permit the concept of personal space, while the night’s soundtrack is a limited palette of frantic, functional techno beats. Now, maybe it’s because I am getting a little older, but when I go out I want to hear
