But, that doesn’t have to be the case. There is a better way! For instance, you can take up ant farming, as my good friend Jeffrey has recently done, or immerse yourself in the wealth of fantastic new music which has recently come out. Den letzten Monat habe ich auf bunten Märkten voller Trubel, in roten Gesteinslandschaften oder am schäumenden, blauen Atlantik in Marokko verbracht. Jetzt sitze ich an meinem Fenster und beobachte grauen Beton, bewölkten Himmel und einen dicken Regentropfen nach dem nächsten. Ich mag dieses Bild sogar, aber ganz wollte ich Marokko dann doch noch nicht gehen lassen. Deshalb schlürfe ich arabischen Kardamom-Kaffee, meine Neuentdeckung aus Marokko, und höre etwas, dass ich entdeckt habe, als ich auf der Reise angefangen habe, mich mit der Musik der Nomaden zu beschäftigen. Geschlossene Augen, der Geschmack von starkem Kaffee, Kardamom, Ingwer und Muskat und die Musik von Tamikrest, Songhoy Blues und Aziza Brahim.Von LOUISE RINGEL
