Twelfth Day Cracks In The RoomEs produzierten Folk-Legende Chris Wood und Oz Fritz, der mit Punk, Pop und Rock von Ramones bis Tom Waits bekannt ist eine exzentrische Mixtur aus Songtradition und neuem Songwriting. Die ungewöhnlichen Musikstücke der beiden Schottinnen Catriona Price und Esther Swift, mit hellen Stimmen zu klaren Instrumentalmelodien gesungen, haben verquere Arrangements, jazzige Stimmungen und klingen schön schräg.

Aufgewachsen auf den Orkney-Inseln und im Grenzland zu Nordengland sind die beiden Musikerinnen verwurzelt in schottischer Musikgeschichte, die auch Keltisches kennt. Sie haben durch ein Studium in Manchester und in Orchestermusik ihre musikalische Arbeit bis in kammermusikalische Nuanciertheit und spannungsreiche Klänge Neuer Musik hineinentwickelt.

Einerseits bezogen auf herkömmliche Harfenmusik von Catriona McKay und anderseits mit experimentellen Ideen im Pop- und Rocksong sind die Musikerinnen ein exzentrisches Folk-Quartett. Reflektierend in Text und Musik über Zeitgenössisches ist das schottische Volksmusik mit eigentümlichen Einfällen in eigenartigen Klangsphären.

Musik | Streichquartett von Dieter Schnebel Über hr2-Konzertsaal wird am 28.06.18 vom Hessischen Rundfunk ›Im Raum‹ gesendet, im Kontext von ›Stücke‹ (1954/55) und ›Erinnern – Wiederholen – Durcharbeiten‹ (2000-2007). Ein Stück von Dieter Schnebel (1930 – 2018), das bei der Musica Viva im Carl-Orff-Saal im Gasteig am 06.03.09 auch aufgeführt wurde. TINA KAROLINA STAUNER hörte das Konzert, beobachtete und notierte als Wortkunst einen freien Wort-Assoziationsraum zu Musik und Bühne.
