Folkdays aren’t over… Emily Barker

Musik | Emily Barker: The Toerag Sessions

Emily Barker und The Toerag Sessions ist Songwriting pur ohne Beteiligung ihrer Bandprojekte The Red Clay Halo und Vena Portae: das neue Album bietet schlicht aber überzeugend Stimme, akustische Gitarre und Mundharmonika. TINA KAROLINA STAUNER hat es gehört

EmilyBarker.TheToeragSessions.

„If a picture paints a thousand words / then a song paints a thousand pictures…“ („Anywhere Away“)

The Rise Of The Dystopian Daddy: New Record Reviews

Music | Bittles’ Magazine: The music column from the end of the world With the Christmas season upon us it seems apt to reflect on some of the great records which have recently entered our lives. While the fact that Clean Bandit have been Number 1 in the UK sinlges chart for what seems like years may have led you to give up entirely on the humble single, it’s important to remember that it can still be a creative outlet of note.

In praise of dumb flesh: May new albums reviewed. Part 1

Music | Bittles’ Magazine: The music column from the end of the world After what felt like the drought of all droughts May has produced a wave of killer releases that stir both heart and soul. While previous months have seen this writer retreat into the nostalgic warmth of late 70s post-punk and mid 90s trip hop, May has convinced me to come out of my self-imposed exile and embrace the joys of the new with glee.
