Sanna Kurki-Suonio The Unparalleled SystemDie Musikerin ist versiert bis hin zu Opernprojekten und verfügt über eine souveräne, facettenreiche Gesangsstimme. ›The Unparalleled System Of Sanna Kurki-Suonio‹, instrumentiert mit Gitarre, Bass, Schlagzeug, Keyboards und Mundharmonika, findet sich genreübergreifend zwischen Tradition und Avantgarde und die Musikerin ist ebenso versiert in Archaischem wie in Zeitgemäßem.

Sie ist in spannungsreichen Soundexperimenten, die sie vor mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten mit ihrer schwedischen Band Hedningarna begonnen hat. Sanna Kurki-Suonio’s derzeitiger Prodzent Risto Ylihärsilä komponierte auch in anderen Projekten schon umfangreich Filmsoundtracks.

Neben eigenen Lyrics über schwerpunktmäßig Liebe verarbeitete Kurki-Suonio Teile des finnischen Epos Kanteletar, Volksweisen aus Karelien und Gedichte der finnischen Autoin Aulikki Oksanen. Improvisierend spielt Kurki-Suonio neuerdings auch zusammen mit Armeniern, Australiern und Engländern in dem Kreativ-Kollektiv SANS. Immer in spannenden Folksoundwelten.
